Import Methods in Tradervue

In Tradervue, there are two primary methods for importing trade data: Standard Import and Broker Sync. Here's an overview of each method:

Standard Import

  1. Export Your Trade History:

Start by manually exporting your trade history from your broker's platform. This is typically done in a file format such as CSV or Excel.

  • Upload to Tradervue:

Once you have exported the file, upload it to Tradervue through the interface provided.

  • Data Parsing:

Tradervue will parse the data from the uploaded file and import your trade history into its system.

  • Regular Updates:

Note that this method requires you to periodically export and upload new trade data files to keep your Tradervue records current.

Broker Sync

  1. Automated Data Retrieval:

Broker sync is a more automated process. Tradervue connects directly to your brokerage account via API integration.

  • Regular Data Updates:

With broker sync enabled, Tradervue retrieves your trade data directly from your broker. This is typically done on a regular basis, often daily or in real-time.

  • No Manual Uploads Required:

This integration eliminates the need for manual exporting and uploading of trade data files.

Limitations of Broker Sync

  • Availability:

Broker sync may not be available with all brokers. This limitation can be due to API availability, technological compatibility, or commercial agreements restricting API access.

  • Fallback to Standard Import:

If broker sync is not supported by your broker, you will need to use the standard import method, involving manual export and upload of trade data files.
