Market Behavior Report
The Market Behavior Report provides insights into how the market is performing based on various factors such as market movement, gaps, and day types. Traditionally, we used the SPY ETF as a proxy for market performance. However, to accommodate diverse trading strategies and preferences, we have now introduced the option to choose from different market proxies.
To access the Market Behavior Report:
- Go to the Detailed Reports tab (also available in the Win vs. Loss Days and Compare tabs).
- Look for the Market Behavior Report section. Here you can view performance based on market movement, gaps, and day types.
Market Proxies:You can now select from several market proxies to compare your performance against. The available proxies include:
- SPY: S&P 500 ETF
- QQQ: Nasdaq-100 ETF
- IWM: Russell 2000 ETF
- XLF: Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund
- GLD: SPDR Gold Shares
- USO: United States Oil Fund
- VXX: iPath Series B S&P 500 VIX Short-Term Futures ETN
This selection allows you to tailor the Market Behavior Report to better match the market conditions relevant to your trading strategy.
Example Visualization: A visual representation of the report will show how your performance correlates with the chosen market proxy. This can help you understand how different market conditions impact your trading results.
For detailed analysis, ensure you select the appropriate market proxy and apply the relevant filters.
